What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Oncology position at Central Peninsula General Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY: Manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and standards of nursing practice.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska or eligible to obtain license
- 2 years experience in an acute care setting
- Certification in Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate is required within 6 months of employment
- ACLS from the American Heart Association within one year of employment
- BLSP certification from the American Heart Association
PREFERRED:
- Two years oncology/cancer care along with one year chemotherapy administration experience
