What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgery Technician position at Central Peninsula General Hospital?
This position is eligible for a CRITICAL POSITION BONUS equal to $10,000.00. Current employees are not eligible for this bonus.
- In order to be eligible for the bonus candidates must have two years Clinical / Hospital operating room experience and graduate of surgery technology program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or 5 years Clinical / Hospital operating room experience.POSITION SUMMARY : Performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses and other professionals in the operating room and endoscopy suites.REQUIREMENTS :
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of healthcare experience
- Knowledge of Surgical Instruments and Procedures
- Knowledge of Anatomy / Physiology
- Able to multi-task; Able to work independently and with others.PREFERRED :
- Two years Clinical / Hospital operating room experience and / or
- Graduate of surgery technology program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- One Year of Sterile Processing Experience.
