POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, provides technical support and assistance to the physician during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures. Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties with cardiac catheterizations, vascular and interventional radiology procedures using clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgment in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols. Assists in holding area. Provides care assessment prior, during and post procedural care and instruction to patients. Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of a diploma, associate or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
- 2 years of cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology lab experience.
PREFERRED:
- 4 years of CVT - Cath Lab experience.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
