What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Department Technician position at Central Peninsula Hospital?
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/General Education Degree(GED)
- Coursework in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training within 30 days of employment.
- BLSP (CPR) from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
- Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills with a working knowledge of some common computer programs.
PREFERRED:
- College Level Coursework in Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course.
- 1 year of general clerical experience in an acute care setting.
- 1 year of LPN/CNA/EMT II/EMT III or Lab Assistant experience.
- EMT certification from an approved certifying agency. OR
- State of Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure OR
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from an approved certifying agency. OR
- State of Alaska Paramedic Licensure
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
