What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Data Analyst position at Central Peninsula Hospital?

POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Data Analyst is responsible for gathering, integrating, and analyzing health-related data from various sources, such as cost, claims, and clinical data. The analyst extracts, loads, and reconciles large datasets to build reports, models, and visualizations that discover market trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. By presenting this information to upper management and stakeholders, the analyst supports decision-making to enhance care quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.
The role also includes building data models to support healthcare operations, developing and maintaining databases and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), and validating record-keeping processes. The analyst will collaborate across departments to align data solutions with organizational goals and support process improvement initiatives by analyzing pre- and post-implementation data to assess the effectiveness of changes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Statistics or other similar fields
- Other disciplines may be considered in combination with relevant experience
- 2 years of Data Analysis and Data Interpretation experience
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Epic Electronic Health Record experience
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
