About our ICU:
Our 9-bed Intensive Care Department provides highly skilled nursing for critically ill patients. Using advanced patient monitoring technology and sophisticated medical equipment, we provide continuous, comprehensive care for patients with serious conditions, including those recovering from heart attacks, surgery, stroke, severe accidents or complex illnesses. To meet each patient’s unique needs, we follow a multi-disciplinary approach that involves doctors, specially trained nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, physical and respiratory therapists and social services. Our team is dedicated to providing expert healthcare and to treating patients with the compassion and respect that they deserve.
POSITION SUMMARY: Manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and standards of nursing practice.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
- Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience.
- BLSP, ACLS, PALS or ENPC and TNCC through American Heart Association is required within 6 months of employment.
PREFERRED:
- 2 years of critical care experience
- BSN
- Critical Care Nurse certification
