What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgery Technician position at Central Peninsula Hospital?
This position is eligible for a CRITICAL POSITION BONUS equal to $10,000.00.
Current employees are not eligible for this bonus.
- In order to be eligible for the bonus candidates must have two years Clinical/ Hospital operating room experience and graduate of surgery technology program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or 5 years Clinical/Hospital operating room experience.
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses and other professionals in the operating room and endoscopy suites.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of healthcare experience
- Knowledge of Surgical Instruments and Procedures
- Knowledge of Anatomy/Physiology
PREFERRED:
- Two years Clinical/Hospital Operationg Room Experience
- One year Sterile Processing experience
- Graduate of surgery technology program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
