General Function
The Advising Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the advising process and the career and academics advisors of the College and Career Readiness (CCR). Services may include enrollment services, community and student outreach.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Oversight and assists in planning, implementing, supervising and evaluating advising services at multiple campuses.
2. Manages the creation and coordination of new employee training for Career and Academic Advisors.
3. Recommends departmental goals and objectives which support institutional goals and objectives.
4. Assists in the creation and implementation of College and Career Readiness (CCR) Program policies and procedures.
5. Troubleshoots student concerns as related to advisement and registration processes.
6. Collaborates with Assistant Director of Intake & Student Success in coordinating assignments of work activities and programs.
7. Collaborates as an administrative resource for other areas of CCR.
8. Assists management with support staff operations.
9. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Education or related field and three years of supervisory/management experience. Three years of advising experience at the college level. Master’s Degree preferred.
