General Function
Central Piedmont Community College is a comprehensive institution which places primary emphasis on excellence in classroom instruction. Corporate and Continuing Education (CCE) instructors are expected to demonstrate and maintain competence in each of the following areas throughout their employment at the college.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide basic knowledge and understanding of structure and function of the human heart, principles of EKG, dysrhythmia recognition of sinus, junctional / atrial rhythms, heart blocks, ventricular and bundle branch dysrhythmias.
- Demonstrate skills for operating EKG equipment, running and mounting strips as well as reading and interpreting cardiac lead tracings and instructional knowledge to understand the basics of capnography as it relates to heart function.
- Prepare students for national certification. Method of Instruction : Classroom : Lecture with Lab : Skills Demonstration and Practice. Evaluation : Written and Practical Exam.
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Respond to student inquiries and communications in a timely manner.
- Submit all required paperwork and documentation on time.
- Complete any college-required training and professional development activities.

Do you have a High School Diploma or GED and Current N.C. license as an EKG Technician with Five years of professional work experience as a licensed EKG Technician and Two years of experience as a lead instructor in one or more of EKG Courses OR
