Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Shipboard Wireless Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in equipment repair, with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot various wireless systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to field service, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair electronic equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Utilize hand tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to conduct tests and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service while working on-site at client locations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing field service tasks.
- MUST BE ABLE TO BEND, STOOP, CLIMB VERTICAL LADDERS, CROUCH AND CARRY 40LBS
- ABILITY TO UTILIZE HAND TOOLS OF ELECTRIC TRADE
- DEPENDABLE/RELIABLE ATTENDANCE
- WORK WELL WITH OTHERS AND INDEPENDENTLY
- PUNCTUAL
- MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW WRITTEN AND VERBAL DIRECTIONS
- USE LAPTOP FOR VARIOUS PURPOSES
- MUST HAVE OR BE WILLING TO PURCHASE STEEL TOED BOOTS
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS CLEARANCE SCREEN FOR DBIDS CREDENTIAL
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in the field of equipment repair.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and low voltage systems.
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical documents.
- Ability to effectively use hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
