What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Agronomy Operations position at Central Region Cooperative?
Description
CRC is currently seeking seasonal help to assist our agronomy department with general labor duties. The duties of positions may vary, however, some of the responsibilities are listed below. Hours for the position are flexible and there is availability for day shift. This is an hourly position with overtime earned after 40 work hours per week. Some of the duties may require a seasonal B license.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pull anhydrous tanks to and from farm fields
- Operate equipment to apply chemical & fertilizer to farm fields
- Maintenance of machinery/equipment
- Deliver fertilizer, chemical, water and anhydrous to operators
- Fill anhydrous tanks
- Assist with chemical and seed warehouse activities
Requirements
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to train candidates for the position
- Ability to operate tractors, semi’s, grain trucks, loaders, and conveyors
- Availability to work extended hours during peak seasons
- Computer and data entry skills
- Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others
- Agriculture background preferred but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 75lbs., climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and bins
- May also be required to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position
