Summary

As a Kitchen Team Member at Central's Little School, you will play an essential role in preparing healthy meals for our students. This position is vital in fostering a positive dining experience while adhering to food safety standards and dietary requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for children following established recipes.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in menu planning to offer a variety of healthy options.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Participate in training sessions on food safety and kitchen best practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in meal preparation or culinary roles, preferably in a school or daycare setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Basic understanding of menu planning and dietary needs for children.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff.
