This is a seasonal position, working only during the summer session. The Summer Social Services Coordinator for Schools will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the school district's extended school year program, providing support to students who require social work intervention, and collaborating with school personnel to promote a positive and supportive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the school district's policies and procedures, as well as experience working with students who have diverse backgrounds and abilities. They will be responsible for communicating effectively with students, parents, and school personnel, establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships, and adhering to a professional code of ethics which includes confidentiality of school related matters and loyalty to the school district.
Key responsibilities include providing consultation and in-service training to school personnel, participating in the identification of those children who require social work intervention, and facilitating the effective utilization of existing community resources to meet the needs of school children. The successful applicant will also participate in case conferences when referred students are involved or as requested, and assist with collecting and analyzing data regarding program participant outcomes.
