Material Handler

Job Overview:
Central Solutions, Inc., a prominent producer of topicals and disinfectant products in the Kansas City area, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing distribution center by ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials to support our operations.

Essential Job Duties:

• Develop good knowledge of the materials used in manufacturing and packaging of all products.
• Be able to properly document all of the specifics concerning inventory activities.
• Oversee staging of approved materials to proper staging areas.
• Provide training and mentoring to other operators/associates, including new hires.
• Handle product to meet predetermined standards of quality and safety.
• Know all applicable SOPs and be certified on assigned equipment.
• Maintain high level of housekeeping in the area.
• Communicate fully with everyone. Be informative and objective. Communicate in a way that is timely, complete, candid, accurate, and clear.
• Contribute to an environment where all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve business results.
• Perform all duties associated with proper record-keeping of materials.
• Utilize Chempax for inventory transactions when required.
• Cross train in other areas, such as, Shipping and Receiving to be proficient with their operation.
• Recommend improved procedures for productivity and safety in the area.
• Assist in other plant areas as required by department management.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Assure that all Inventory personnel wear PPE as necessary outlined in SOPs.
• Maintain good personal hygiene. Wear designated uniform maintained in good condition.
• Perform overtime work as required to meet area and plant goals.

Minimum Requirements for the position:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in mathematics.
• Good penmanship.
• High degree of accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably and ability to stand for the majority of the shift.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a or warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform and physical tasks as required.
- Familiarity with using an for inventory management is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating such as Cherry pickers is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of procedures and best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
