As a Screed Operator the purpose of your position is to watch the mat for imperfection and making sure the asphalt mat is up to inspector’s expectations and prints.
Requirements:
- Must be able to travel throughout Minnesota, North and South Dakota.
- Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites.
- Valid Driver’s License, preferably Class A.
- Acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and verifies depth and slope of mat behind asphalt paver.
- Operates electronic controls on machine to control depth and slope of mat. May occasionally operate manual controls.
- Adjusts screed to control texture and width of mat.
- Shovels and lutes materials as needed
- Prioritize safety at all times, following company and industry safety guidelines and protocols.
- Performs other tasks as needed.
