What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Research Assistant position at Central State University?

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties include:

Performing field and lab research on honeybee behavior and genetics.
Assisting with honeybee colony maintenance, queen rearing, breeding, research experiments, workshops, and field day demos.
Maintaining the field supply
Facilitating the operation of the CSU bee lab and assist faculty/staff/students

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or related field STEM field

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and skills in beekeeping, queen rearing, bee biology.
