We are currently seeking a Service Manager for our Fenton, MO location. This position provides direction for all facets of service, including advice and technical information for new and used buses to both internal and external customers. Provides our customers mechanical, electrical, pneumatic repairs and accessory installations for all vehicles and equipment supported by Central States Bus Sales through efficient use of service personnel while controlling costs related to the department.

- Assign shop duties and efficiently schedule the workload
- Control and manage workflow through the shop
- Create and maintain a productive work environment with a positive atmosphere for our employees and customers
- Work with the sales department to coordinate the delivery of new and used vehicles through the shop
- Maintain, improve, and support daily activities of the service department
- Coordinate with OEM manufacturers to troubleshoot and repair vehicles under warranty
- Maintain, improve, and support daily activities of the service department including organizing and maintaining shop equipment and controlling expenses & costs as necessary
- Supervise multiple service technicians and other service department team members
- Ensure employees are abiding by safety standards
- Assist customers with recalls from any manufacturers or companies we represent
- Give advice to customers regarding technical repairs
- Invoice customers on a timely basis to keep receivables and accounting current
- Assist with diagnosis and repairs of vehicles in the shop as needed
- Issue purchase orders and process paperwork as required
- Assist Parts Department in the ordering, receiving, & billing of parts required in the Service Department
- 1-3 year's managerial experience in automotive, transportation or related industry
- Ability to multi-task while coordinating and delegating work orders
- Knowledge of diesel and gas engines
- Knowledge in vehicle electrical systems
- MVI Certification
- Capable of learning/utilizing computer and software
- CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake Certification, or must be able to make progress towards obtaining within 90 days of employment
- Cummins Experience
- ASE Certifications
- Knowledge of school bus components
