Inside Sales Advisor – PVF Department

Central States Group, A Cogent Company, is currently seeking an Inside Sales Advisor for our Pipe, Valves, and Fittings (PVF) department. We are passionate about helping customers and the communities where we live and work, and we pride ourselves on being respected, innovative leaders in our industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide customers with timely and accurate quotations, orders, credits, and returns.
- Ensure on-time delivery of products by working with vendors on order fulfillment, pricing, and shipping.
- Answer general sales calls and assist customers in product selection.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Collaborate with outside sales staff regarding opportunities, follow-up plans, and appropriate gross margin maintenance on their accounts.
- Maintain a strong understanding of PVF products and their applications to effectively assist customers.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Position Requirements
Qualified candidates will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
