JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Manager/Engineer role will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through completion. This role with CSMI requires interaction with a range of internal and external individuals, most often managing several projects simultaneously.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead weekly project planning meetings.
- Coordinate staff and internal resources.
- Manage project progress and adapt work as required.
- Ensure projects meet deadlines.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and Internal Engineers.
- Design and sign off on contracts.
- Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation.
- Design and manage test plans.
- Manage the design of prototypes.
- Design risk mitigation plan.
- Conduct project review and creating detailed reports for management.
- Optimize and improve processes and the overall approach where necessary.
- Secure growth opportunities and initiate new projects.
- Manage multiple projects at a time effectively and efficiently.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Project Management.
- Five to eight years’ experience Managing Engineering Projects.
- Previous experience in manufacturing a plus.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities across multiple divisions of CSMI.
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred; examples include: Value Stream, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, etc.
- Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Should be highly organized.
- Travel as required.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple teams.
- Self-starter; can work with little or no oversight.
- Excellent time and resource management skills.
- Computer skills required, specifically: MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word.
- Effective written and verbal skills. Ability to present to both large and small groups.
- Demonstrated support of company mission statement and value list.
- Ability to work while being exposed to outside weather conditions- extreme cold and extreme heat.
