Description
JOB SUMMARY: Promotes sales to contractors and end users in their store’s territory. Manages all elements of their assigned territory to meet/exceed goals, partners with customers to help grow their business, and increases market penetration. Works closely with Retail Manager to ensure compliance with company procedures and policies.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Inputs customer orders and answers inquiries.

Loads and unloads material when needed.

Implements strategic sales plans to meet and exceed goals.

Assists contractors and end users with installation advice for their project/product.

Maintains current retail business while increasing revenue through new business.

Evaluates customer’s needs and exceeds their expectations (consultative sales).

Participates during inventory.
-
Collects and maintains accounts payable for customer base.

Monitors and evaluates market conditions and competitors.

Balances end of day sales.

Has working knowledge of metal building panels and components and packages.

Ability to travel up to 4 weeks per year.

Cross trains with other departments to enhance the effectiveness of the department and this position.

Works effectively with customers outside of store’s territory to reduce territory management conflicts.

Limits sales to only customers within the specified territory for that store.

Adequately surveys potential customers to reduce territory management conflicts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma preferred
-
Retail sales experience and experience with metal building components, panels, and packages preferred.

Working knowledge of the installation techniques for the products offered at the store.

Superior time management skills

Ability to forecast, budget, and plan elements of sales. Ability to evaluate market conditions and competitors.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Able to lift 75 pounds.
