Summary
The Senior Business Process Analyst is an Information Technology representative responsible for distilling Central States’ broader tech-involved strategies into tactical requirements for Software Developers to execute upon. To be successful and help Central States continue to improve its technology offerings, the Senior Business Process Analyst will be expected to be proficient at requirement elicitation, root cause analysis, process mapping, backlog management, and relationship management from frontline employees all the way up to executive leadership.

Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically. The work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive reading to perform the core functions listed in this job description.

Core Functions
- Collaborate with management and IT Leadership to understand Central States’ overarching strategies and help define in practical terms what is required from the IT organization to be successful.
- Break down strategic work items into user stories for consumption by software developers.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in business-centric roles to better understand and communicate business process and requirements to the IT organization.
- Perform root cause analysis to help define where IT efforts should be focused to solve the business problem.
- Present detailed analysis of business problems to cross-functional teams and consultants to facilitate collaboration on possible solutions.
- Manage project backlogs from initial kickoff through delivery, providing frequent updates to IT leadership on status, successes, and blockers.
- Provide mentorship and guidance on best practices to other Business Process Analyst roles.
- Individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Education & Experience:
- 3-4 years in a business analysis role
- 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing
- 1-2 years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience with Agile and/or SCRUM methodologies
- Bachelor’s Degree with a Major in a Computer Science-related field
