What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Assistant-Sanitation Coordinator position at Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit?
Job Summary
This part-time, non-exempt position is responsible for assisting with food service operations at the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit. The Dietary Assistant-Sanitation Coordinator will work under the guidance of the Regional Team Supervisor to ensure that all aspects of food preparation and presentation meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Shop for breakfast/snack groceries and other items needed in the classroom.
- Pick up, transport, and/or accept food for programs located at the Watsontown Children's Center.
- Help to serve food to children, parent volunteers, and CSIU staff.
- Clean up after meals, wash dishes or containers, prepare containers to send back to the district building.
- Maintain a clean facility, including sweeping floors, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms, and mopping floors.
- Order paper products from the office at least two weeks before items are needed.
- Keep a running inventory of supplies and store them neatly in cupboards, closets, and/or shelves.
- Post one copy of the school-age and early childhood menu in the center and review it for any revisions.
- Notify the Food and Education Programs Administrative Assistant of any revisions to the lunch menu.
- Send a copy of the menu to the Food and Education Programs Administrative Assistant at the end of each month with any substitutions or revisions recorded.
- Follow all Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines and regulations.
- Familiarize yourself with ServSafe guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain Safe Serve certification and follow guidelines and regulations from the Department of Agriculture.
