Job Description
The Center for Schools and Communities is seeking a highly skilled Project Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with program staff on the Center for the Promotion of Social Emotional Learning (CPSEL) and I Can Problem Solve (ICPS) initiatives. You will work closely with agency staff to provide resources, reports, event planning, technical assistance, and other products related to contract deliverables contained in the CSC's work statements. This position is responsible for controlling all aspects of large events and is responsible for contract deliverables and funder goals. Special projects will be assigned as the need arises.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Support
Provide high-level program support for technical assistance to the School Safety field and program staff in CPSEL and ICPS. Create professional wording for draft memos, emails, and letters for program support. Create charts, minutes, forms, reports, proposals, and other related items for assigned projects. Assist with general organization and operation of the Center for Schools and Communities. Develop appropriate training for teachers, administrators, and community members to enhance their effectiveness. Collaborate with team members to determine training and technical assistance needs in schools and communities. Coordinate the content and logistics of annual statements of work with the program managers. Work collaboratively with the funders and CSC staff. Coordinate special projects that arise, including the development of publications and presentations, in coordination with the necessary staff. Act as project lead for the annual Safe Schools and Social Emotional Learning conferences. Adhere to timelines and procedures for the events. Establish and coordinate the conference planning committee; schedule meetings, take notes and build the conference framework and draft agenda. Draft the call for presenters for the conference, work with the tech team to develop the submission database. Monitor the presenter submissions, bring submissions to the planning committee and send rejection letters to non-selected presenters. Communicate with selected presenters, obtain all documents needed for fiscal operations for presenters receiving compensation, obtain all necessary information regarding the presentation including resumes, workshop titles and descriptions, bios, images, PowerPoints, handouts, and tech needs. Work with the CSC cross systems staff to provide support in the planning implementation of additional training, meetings, conferences, and regional workshops. Prepare Act 48 documents and other continuing education credits (CEC) for professional development opportunities. Create links for evaluation and Act 48 for event communication. Process CEC documentation post-event. Research and order supplies and materials for assigned projects. Use good judgement and decision making when planning and implementing new procedures, projects, and events. Research, develop and evaluate training needs and development for staff and organizational partners. Evaluate presenters on content, delivery, and organizational value.
