What are the responsibilities and job description for the CHIEF OF POLICE position at Central Tech?
POSITION: Chief of Police – Central Tech Police Department
CAMPUS: Drumright and Sapulpa campuses
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Oversee security for the protection of all students, staff and property on both Central Tech campuses.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Assistant Superintendent/WED Director
SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have an up-to-date firearms training certification, be certified in first aid and CPR. Able to operate a security vehicle. Possess excellent communication and personal skills. Supervise security personnel on both Central Tech campuses.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: CLEET certification as a law enforcement officer valid and maintained. Experience as a law enforcement officer preferred. Must be 21 years of age and possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
EDUCATION: High School or GED required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to work under stress while using positive interpersonal skills. Must deal with the public, students, and staff members to ensure security of the campus.
STARTING DATE: June 2, 2025
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month contract – Non-Certified/Exempt
