CLEVELAND AREA HOSPITAL is an independent, self-managed Critical Access Hospital half an hour west of Tulsa, Oklahoma. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Clinic Office Coordinator, the Patient Service Representative’s main function is to ensure the customer is serviced as expeditiously as possible and provided access to appropriate services.

The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 10:00am-7:00pm.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions
Adheres to Organization’s Policies and Procedures
Provides exceptional customer service and ensures access to appropriate services as expeditiously as possible.
Answers phones
Schedules appointments
Registers patients, obtains demographics, financial, pre-cert or authorization information, verifies insurance eligibility when applicable.
Explains clinic policies, financial responsibilities
Receives payments and issues receipts
Enters charges
Prepares charts for providers
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one years of job-related experience, preferably in medical clinic; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
