What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRACTICAL NURSING INSTRUCTOR position at Central Tech?
POSITION: Practical Nursing Instructor
CAMPUS: Sapulpa Campus
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Instruct practical nursing students in theory, laboratory, and clinical while serving as a professional role model.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Practical Nursing District Coordinator & Practical Nursing Assistant Coordinator
SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have current working knowledge of nursing and related subjects, current safe and effective clinical skills. Good communications skills and the ability to communicate and maintain a professional relationship with area health care facilities and their staff, patients and patients’ families, students and potential students, as well as Central Tech staff and faculty.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least three years full-time equivalent practice as an RN in a clinical setting, one year of which must be in a hospital, within the last five years. Teaching experience is desirable
EDUCATION: RN required. Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred or have a degree plan in place to earn a BSN. Must complete a minimum of 6 credit hours per year until BSN is completed.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Regular attendance following a designated work schedule with minimal absence. Must be able to work extended hours and additional days/evenings, as required by position responsibilities. Must be able to attend and participate in district, state, and national meetings/conferences a scheduled. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
STARTING DATE: June 2, 2025
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month contract – Certified/Exempt
