Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various technical areas such as NEC, security systems, CCTV, computer networking, and mechanical knowledge. If you have a passion for building and problem-solving, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
· Install, maintain, and repair security systems following manufacturer's specifications
· Conduct system tests and ensure proper functioning
· Troubleshoot issues with security systems and make necessary repairs
· Utilize tools such as voltmeters to detect and resolve electrical problems
· Provide technical support to customers on system operation
· Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently
· Industry specific knowledge in the following areas is preferred, but not required: Low voltage wiring, AV, Access Control, Security, Intrusion detection, Alarms, Information technology, etc., as well as the service, maintenance, and installation of these products.
· Complete installations of projects on time and within budget based on the customer consultation and expectations.
· Use approved industry standards and techniques to ensure proper system function with installed equipment.
· Troubleshooting of AV and Security Systems.
· Knowledge of AV cabling types.
· Rack building/pre-wiring.
· Install projectors and screens.
· Build structure to hang AV equipment consistent with industry safety standards.
· Install Interactive TV Panels and Audio Systems.
· Install and Program Analog and Digital Camera Security Systems.
· Install and Program Access Control Systems.
· Structured cabling which includes pulling, terminating and testing all cable.
· Work in unusual and difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, crawl spaces and above ceilings.
Skills:
- Proficiency in low voltage, access control, and security camera installations
- Experience in installing and servicing security systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Skilled in using a voltmeter for electrical diagnostics
- Knowledge of computer networking for system integration
- Strong problem-solving skills to detect and resolve issues promptly
- Mechanical aptitude for handling installation tools and equipment
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and techniques
- Previous experience as a service technician is a plus

Qualifications
- Experience in installation and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV and intrusion detection systems

- Experience using voltmeters and other relevant tools for troubleshooting
- Strong background in computer networking and system design
- Service technician experience in a related field is a plus
*Pay starts at $18 for entry level candidates and increases with experience and qualifications
