Summary of Position
The job of Flight Instructor is a full-time position working under the supervision of the Chief Flight Instructor. The individual will provide quality flight, simulator and ground instruction in accordance with FAA regulations and Central Texas College Aviation Science Department procedures.
Minimum Required Education
45 semester hours college credits (or equivalent experience). Associates Degree preferred.
Minimum Required Experience
Must have current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane Single engine Class Rating. Must have current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate. CFI- Instrument Airplane (CFI-I) Rating and Multi-engine Instructor (MEI) preferred.

- Ability to maintain an assigned schedule and meet appointments punctually and adequately prepared.
Salary
Salaried pay scale: Category 1K
Hours
Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Fri 8:00am -5:00pm, Other - Weekend On Call for Cross-country and solo flights (2 to 3 weekends on call per semester, Overtime, describe requirements - Must be willing to work after normal hours, aas needed
Other Information
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required. Must be willing to abide by CTC Aviation Science Department uniform dress code requirements.
