Summary of Position
To provide instruction to students in Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (TxCHSE), Adult Basic Education (ABE), or English as-a-Second Language (ESL) class; must fulfill duties and responsibilities as provided by the Director of Adult Education.
Minimum Required Education
Bachelor 's Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution is required; teacher certification preferred
Master's degree from a regionally accredited educational institution preferred
Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred : Adult Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, English, or Mathematics
Minimum Required Experience
Minimum one (1) year teaching experience is required; working with adults desirable
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to teach in an effective and competent manner.
- Understand the method of teaching by objective.
- Knowledge of non-traditional student educational needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to teach on virtual and face-to-face platforms.
- Ability to use MS Office Suite and other digital platforms
