Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Triage Nurse to join our Gastroenterology team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, prioritizing care based on urgency, and ensuring that patients receive appropriate medical attention in a timely manner. This position requires excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers. This is a clinic triage role, will expect a high volume of calls and most patient interaction to be over the phone. Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 1pm.

Duties

• Conduct initial assessments of patients to determine the severity of their conditions.
• Prioritize patient care based on clinical urgency and established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to enact treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with clinic EMR systems.
• Provide education to patients regarding their conditions, treatment options, and follow-up care.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license (RN or LPN).
• Familiarity with gastroenterology or triage roles.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and medical staff.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
