Business Office Float
Central Texas Heart Center is a fast-paced, multi-provider, cardiology practice that is growing. We are looking for a Business Office Float with at least one year of medical office experience to join our team. Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills, an eye for details, strong organizational skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent patient relations; possess the ability to take directives from various levels and assume responsibility for assignments. This full-time position is backup for other positions within the department and will work in different business office areas within the practice as needed. This position provides a great opportunity to learn the various support roles needed to help run a busy medical practice.
- The well-qualified candidate is required to have at least one year of experience working in multiple areas in a medical office such as :
- front desk medical receptionist with patient check-in experience
- payment processing
- patient scheduling
- pre-auth and insurance verification
- proficient with an EMR such as ECW
Duties include the ability to answer multiple phone lines, check patients in / out, ensure accurate medical records in charts, insurance benefits / referrals / authorizations, scanning / indexing, managing multiple provider's schedules, all other duties as assigned.
Schedule is Monday through Thursday 8a-5p, Fridays 8a - 12p (no weekends) 40 hours per week.
