Job description
Fast paced Cardiology office seeking a motivated self-starter for our Cardiac Stress Lab. The EKG Technician will support the Nuclear Medicine Technician during PET stress testing by monitoring the EKG. Will use the application of ACLS measures to patients when directed. This is a temporary position through April 2025, with the possibility of permanent position placement. This temporary position does not require weekend work or on call work.
Duties will include :
- Clinical chart preparation, reviews current medication list and past medical history
- Performs EKG and monitors patient during stress testing
- Assess patient’s blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
- Monitor patient through 12 lead EKG stress testing including rhythm identification and interpretation
- Assures completeness of test reports
- All other duties as assigned
- ACLS certification required
- Experience placing 12 lead EKG, proficient in monitoring rhythm identification and ability to interpret required.
- EMT, Paramedic, or previous experience with cardiac stress testing preferred.
- Certified Cardiography Technician is preferred
