CUHSD is recruiting for a Speech Therapist to join our team.

Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, provides services to pupils with speech and / or language handicaps within the District. Surveys student for speech disorders. Provides therapy in the areas of speech, hearing, and language problems or disorders. Conducts individual and group conferences with pupils, parents, teachers, school administrators, and others concerned with the welfare of the students. Acts upon referrals from teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators. Refers students to appropriate agencies for diagnosis, assessment and therapy. Maintains adequate records and progress reports on all student in the caseload. Provides regular reports of students’ progress to parents, teachers, and appropriate administrators. Consults with classroom teachers to coordinate speech rehabilitation with work done in the classroom. Organizes student caseload and develops an adequate schedule for each assigned school. Meets with students individually and in small groups for clinical activities. Develops resource materials for use in speech correction. Maintains monthly registers of attendance and Designated Instructional Services (DIS). Serves on the Individual Education Plan (IEP) Team as needed for placement of students; meets with parents and / or guardians relative to the development of IEP's; prepares IEP's for each student; evaluates each student's progress and prepares an up-to-date report at the end of each year. Maintains files, records and required assessments for each student.
Valid California Language, Speech and Hearing License/ Credential or a Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential.
Salary : $70,961 - $126,620
