What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Family and Consumer Science Teacher position at Central Unit 4?
Highly qualified candidate needs knowledge of the family and consumer science (FACS) content, specifically in the culinary arts and parenting. Classes include semester-long courses of Nutrition and Culinary Arts I, Nutrition and Culinary Arts II, Nutrition and Culinary Arts III, and Nutrition and Culinary Arts IV, as well as an introduction to FACS class. Additional courses may include, but not limited to, Parenting, Adult Living, Resource Management and Child Development. Experience is preferred, but it is not a requirement. The candidate would be a contributor to a well-established FACS program. The candidate should also have effective communication skills, both verbal and written, be well organized and utilize teaching strategies that reach a variety of learning styles.
