What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk position at Central United Corporation?
Major Duties & Responsibilities (others may be assigned on as-needed/non-reoccurring basis):
a: Receives shipping assignment from project manager/operations manager
b: Use forklift and hand pallet jack to move and load material which can include to or from trucks
c: Receive all incoming shipments per QP1150: check packing slips against PO for accuracy and correctness.
d:Complete inspection on all incoming material, including checking size, grade or any other criteria stated on the CU Purchase Order
e: Place approved inspected materials in designated areas
f: Package all outgoing shipments per customer/ CU requirements as stated on QP1170-1 Process Layout
g: Label (PIC0005) all outgoing packages and any being placed into inventory per QP1150
h: Maintain an accurate and complete finished goods inventory
i: Ensure correctness and completeness of all bills of lading when scheduling shipments
j: keeps work areas clean and neat
k: Offers suggestions to speed up or improve functions in the department
l: ability to use basic inspection equipment, micrometer and caliper
m: Responsible for filling out time cards and any required QMS documents accurately and completely
n: conforms to all central united safety programs and standards
o: Lifting requirement of 50# max. plus able to create shipping containers if needed for specific components which cannot be shipped in a standard cardboard box.
