Child Care Teacher-Full Time

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children such as stories, games and activities
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
• Supervise and engage children in educational and recreational activities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare facility
• Classroom management and lesson planning
• Provide appropriate caregiving
• Attend monthly staff meetings
• Collaborate with other employees
• Provide basic care for children. Including but not limited to changing diapers, potty training, meal preparation and feeding
• Hold regular parent-teacher conferences
• Address any parent concerns or complaints and provide updates on child development
• Provide a pleasant, safe and sanitary environment
• Complete 25hrs of continuing education through PDR annually
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33– 35 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 8:00am-2:45pm

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Required)
• Childcare: 1 year (Required)
• Previous experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques
• Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of childhood development milestones using Arkansas Early Learning Standards

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• CPR (will certify)
