What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Director/Accountant position at Central United Methodist Church?
Primary responsibility will be the financial accounting for Central UMC. Includes paying bills, processing payroll, preparing monthly financial statements and related matters. Will work with the church staff and volunteer committees to provide information and asssistance in church matters. Attendance of church meetings will be necessary.
Past work history in a similar position is required. Strong personal recommendations required due to working with confidential nature of working with church members and staff, their financial contributions, and church finance matters. Non-profit experience would be helpful as fund accounting is prevalent. Primary accounting system is Shelby Systems by Ministry Brands. Experience with that is not necessary but it is a higher-level, professional accounting system.
Job can be expanded to full-time if candidate has computer networking skills and graphic design abilities, as another part-time position of Worship Tech is being advertised also.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
