Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Central Utah Surgical Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting positive patient outcomes by performing diagnostic radiographic procedures under the direction of a Physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, assessing their condition prior to and during all radiologic procedures.
- Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids according to physician preference cards.
- Test and monitor equipment for proper working condition to ensure high-quality images.
- Accurately document records and other forms, adhering to approved policies and procedures.
- Verify that all individuals in the room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray equipment.
- Communicate patient status to other staff members responsible for care.
- Perform routine maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment by following established cleaning, care, storage, and calibration procedures.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiology with a strong foundation in imaging principles.
- At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technician, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
- State Radiology Technician license is mandatory.
