Job Summary
We are seeking an Agricultural Operations Assistant to join our team at Central Valley Ag Cooperative. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with grain and agronomy handling, preventative maintenance, and cleaning as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload grain products from company and customer trucks
- Assist in delivering agronomy products such as fertilizer, chemical, and seed to customers
- Load agronomy products onto customer trucks
- Receive dry/liquid fertilizer, chemicals, and seed
- Provide assistance with liquid and dry plant operations
- Schedule, mix, and load liquid/dry fertilizer and chemicals
- Ensure accurate mixing of chemicals and fertilizers and assist with blender operations
- Drive company-owned trucks for product transfer
- Drive tender trucks to supply custom application equipment
- Monitor and maintain grain quality
- Manage grain and agronomy inventory
- Monitor and report inventory levels to supervisors
- Assist with scale operations
- Perform general maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles
- Be responsible for housekeeping duties
Requirements
- A Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements is preferred
- A Commercial Applicator's License is also preferred
- Good communication skills and the ability to establish working relationships
- Basic mechanical skills
- Good computer skills
