PURPOSE
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service, assisting in the management of our accounts receivable portfolio, and ensuring timely collection of accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform a combination of accounts receivable duties.
Assist with incoming phone calls, walk-in traffic and the ability to direct both to appropriate personnel.
Assist in resolving customer complaints quickly and fairly in accordance with company policies.
Accurately apply payments and product contracts to customers’ accounts.
Assist with organization of accounts receivable system, including customer files.
Work with and process confidential information appropriately.
Perform special projects.
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of two (2) years in accounts receivable or accounts payable required
Possess fundamental accounting skills such as general ledger and accounts receivable
Strong competencies in computer applications including Microsoft products and above average knowledge of Excel.
Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships with internal operations and external customers.
Must have the ability to multi-task and establish priorities to consistently meet internal and external deadlines.
Makes good, sound decisions based on reasons, facts, analytics and observations.
Develops contacts and relationships which are internal and external to the organization and facilitates work efforts or to gain support and cooperation from others.
Works in a way that demonstrates safety is a priority. Promotes a work environment that is safe for everyone.
