PURPOSE
The Business Analyst will provide support to CVA and the divisions primarily through process/systems analysis and systems implementation/support. The position will develop and maintain strong working relationships across the organization and help Business Systems Optimization become a trusted business partner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct thorough analysis of current business processes and systems, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement across the full spectrum of manual, automated, and hybrid frameworks.
- Develop a detailed understanding of operations and what value drivers primarily contribute to the success of the business.
- Become a link between operations and administration, helping to translate operational needs into solutions supported through administrative and technological functions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into clear and actionable specifications.
- Develop and implement solutions to optimize systems, processes, and workflows, leveraging technology and best practices.
- Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, using data analysis tools and techniques.
- Analyze and monitor data quality across various systems, identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist with Audit items and SOP development as needed to ensure data and process quality and consistency.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and solutions, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Provide support to divisions as directed by the Director of Business Systems Optimization in helping achieve strategic initiatives.
- Work cooperatively across CVA regarding system implementations, including any related support/training as well as any systems testing as assigned.
- Effectively manage projects and take on a certain level of ownership as directed by the Director of Business Systems Optimization.
- Provide excellent customer service by managing difficult situations, responding promptly, and resolving questions/complaints/concerns immediately.
- Present a clean and professional appearance.
- Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor and/or management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting/Finance and two to four years of related experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or process improvement.
- Experience in process mapping and workflow analysis.
- Ability to multi-task several assignments simultaneously and establish job priorities.
- Employ fundamental accounting skills including knowledge in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statements.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically.
- Ability to consistently meet internal and external deadlines.
- Strong competencies in computer applications including Excel and other Microsoft products.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Fabric, PowerBI) is a plus.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practice preferred.
- Manages a variety of responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
