What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at Central Valley Ag?
PURPOSE
The Business Analyst will provide support to CVA and the divisions primarily through financial/operational analysis and systems implementation/support. The position will develop and maintain a strong working relationship across CVA and help FP&A become a trusted business partner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop a detailed understanding of operations and what value drivers primarily contribute to the success of the business.
Become a link between operations and administration and help to translate the needs of operations into actionable solutions which can be supported through the administrative functions.
Provide support to the divisions as directed by the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in helping the divisions achieve strategic initiatives.
Complete all assigned analysis projects as well as provide support to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis on forecasting and other projects as needed.
Work cooperatively across CVA as assigned regarding system implementations including any related support/training as well as help with Merchant Ag testing/support/training as needed.
Ability to effectively manage projects and take on a certain level of ownership as directed by the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.
Help to document business needs and requirements for assigned projects.
Work cooperatively with other locations to help ensure company goals are met.
Provide excellent customer service by managing difficult situations, responding promptly, resolving questions complaints and concerns immediately, and meeting commitments.
Effectively communicate by verbal and written means with customers, employees, and management.
Present a clean and professional appearance.
Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor and or management.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Associate degree in Accounting/Finance or two to four years of related experience.
Ability to multi-task several assignments simultaneously and establish job priorities.
Employ fundamental accounting skills including knowledge in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statements.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically.
To consistently meet internal and external deadlines.
Strong competencies in computer applications including Excel and other Microsoft products.
Manages a variety of responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
Follows through with commitments and can be counted on to meet deadlines.
Always maintains a positive attitude.
Actively looks for ways to help customers.
Works well with others to achieve a common goal.
Completes work in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.
