What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Central Valley Ag?
PURPOSE
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating financial models, and providing insights to support key business decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with organization-wide forecasting, including refining and utilizing various financial models.
Help to maintain capital expenditure models with the ability to implement further enhancements.
Assist with analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Partner with various stakeholders to help define and track key performance indicators that will be instrumental as part of driver-based forecasting.
Collaborate across the organization to help enable timely operational decision-making.
Utilize technology, including FP&A software, to help identify opportunities to further enhance processes and implement best practices.
Conduct special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed across the organization.
Provide support to the divisions as directed by the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in helping the divisions achieve strategic initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
Minimum of 2 years prior experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically.
Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to various stakeholders.
Completes work in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.
Occasional travel may be required.
