PURPOSE
Responsible for the management of sales, inventory, profitability, equipment and facilities at the feed location by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee financials for feed location.
Oversee day to day operations of the feed mill and delivery trucks.
Manage the people assets of the locations.
Manage the physical assets of the locations.
Manage the inventory of the locations.
Manage the customer base through good service and customer relations.
Oversee accounting functions of the locations.
Monitor the quality of feed and grain products and follow approved ordering procedures.
Cooperate with management and other locations to maximize these assets.
Market the locations products, services and knowledge.
Maintain fiscal responsibility for the locations through margins, volumes, assets allocations, expense control and inventory maintenance.
Keep supervisor/Ingredient Purchaser appraised of inventory levels.
Assist other divisions/locations.
Comply with current CVA credit policies.
Maintain and promote a safe work environment.
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 4 to 6 employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in conjunction with division heads. Focus on highly engaged workforce with great communication skills.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Background in Animal Nutrition required.
One to three years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships with internal operations and external customers.
Works in a way that demonstrates safety is a priority. Promotes a work environment that is safe for everyone.
