Housing Navigator/Locator

Central Valley Low Income Housing Corp. (CVLIHC) is a 501c3 nonprofit based in Stockton, Calif., that provides assistance to homeless persons living in San Joaquin County. We are a mission-driven organization dedicated to ending homelessness.

CVLIHC seeks a professional, experienced individual to work with its various permanent housing programs as a Housing Navigator/Locator. This position engages agency clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and helps them locate and obtain affordable housing in San Joaquin County. Housing Navigators/Locators find units that are available on the open market, communicate with landlords about CVLIHC programs and clients, assist clients to develop household budgets and financially plan to rent the units, and help clients obtain those identified units. The agency can pay fees, incentives, deposit, and rent on behalf of clients.

The successful candidate is self-motivated and is able to work both independently and collaboratively. This position requires communication and teamwork; knowledge of the local housing market; advocacy on behalf of clients; negotiation to reach mutually beneficial business relationships; and cultivation of relationships that lead to positive outcomes for clients and landlords.

This position may be assigned to a particular team or project within CVLIHC.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $58,240.00 per year
