What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Instructor position at Central Vermont Career Center?
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Holds and maintains or Eligible to hold a valid Vermont State Educator License
- Holds a minimum of an Associate’s degree or its equivalent
- Holds the Industry Credential/Welding Certification
- Five or more years of recent industry experience in the welding field and familiarity with local industries.
Knowledgeable and skilled in content and experience training
Ability to work in a team and to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, and parents.
Ability to supervise students in both the classroom and lab areas.
Ability to interact and communicate with students, support staff, parents/guardians, and other internal and external stakeholders with professionalism.
Working knowledge of the Vermont State Proficiencies and the VT Agency of Education CTE Competencies required.
Experience with classroom management to ensure the safety of all students.
Understanding student learning differences.
Patience and persistence.
Ability to access, utilize technology.
Ability to attend required or requested training, meetings, and professional growth activities outside of school hours (i.e. summers and after-school).
The annual Salary is competitive in Vermont and is determined based on experience. This is a school-year position covered by the local Education Association collective bargaining agreement.
