We have an immediate opening for a Technician Apprentice. We are willing to train the right person. You should have a strong aptitude for the technical field, including RF/IP/electronics as well as excellent work ethic. Duties
- Understand and fully utilize service software as is required to execute your job
- Receive a task and complete job tasks as assigned by the Service Manager
- Intelligently plan and install two-way radios and related equipment into different types of vehicles
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair/replace antenna cables, power cables, and antennas
- Maintain all company issued tools and equipment and ensure serviceability
- Work closely with Service Manager to ensure timely completion of work
- Assist Service Manager as needed with customer and job information
- Assist other technicians with on-site installation
- Adheres to all safety requirements and procedures – OSHA, Company and Customer standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some telecommunications experience preferred
- Requires ability to move and or lift heavy objects, up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and operate elevating equipment
- Driver’s license, acceptable driving record and ability to maintain acceptable driving record during course of employment is required
- Additional consideration for:
- Technical training and certifications (OSHA, Motorola, Kenwood, etc.)
