We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, providing excellent customer service.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care.
- Assist in the preparation of medical records and ensure all documentation is complete.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Provide information on medication administration, pet care, and animal husbandry to clients.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Handle animals with care, utilizing skills in dog handling and animal restraint when necessary.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with animal physiology, veterinary critical care, and aseptic techniques is preferred.
- Experience in medication administration and understanding of pet care practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle various types of animals safely and compassionately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing records and appointments.
- Prior experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
