Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with medical procedures, such as vaccinations, lab tests, and surgeries, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Handle animals with care and attention, including pet sitting and animal restraint, to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized kennel area, adhering to strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Filling of prescription medication under the direction of the veterinarian.
- Provide emotional support to pet owners and educate them on animal care.
-Educate clients on products and protocols.
- Participate in administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments.
- Stay up-to-date on current veterinary practices and procedures through ongoing training and education.
-Receiving orders and logging inventory.
-Basic cleaning duties and restocking of supplies.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques.
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical procedures.
- Comfortable with pet sitting and providing emotional support to pet owners.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with veterinarians and technicians.
- Basic computer skills and administrative experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
