What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Set Up/Programmer Operator_Naples position at Central Wire?
JOB SUMMARY:
Program, set up, and operate CNC Machining Centers from print or specifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Generate CNC programs for CNC Machining Centers
Determine appropriate tooling, setup, and fixtures necessary to efficiently run jobs.
Change/set tools, collets, tool holders, as required by program.
Determine/set all tooling offsets.
Produce acceptable parts within production rates.
Adjusts speeds and feeds, if necessary.
Directs scheduled maintenance.
Assists others with any issues on CNCs.
Trains other operators on set-up, operation, and minor repairs.
Adheres to ISO/AS standards.
Review production process for improvements.
Measures 1st piece and fills out 1st piece inspection form.
Troubleshoots and repairs machines, when possible.
Keeps logs of down-time, maintenance performed, and repairs.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates machines when necessary.
Sorts any nonconforming parts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
